SCAN Health Plan (SCAN) is a not-for-profit health plan organization that serves more than 110,000 people with a health plan for Medicare and Medicaid-eligible individuals as part of the state’s long term care program in California and Arizona.

SCAN Health Plan is undergoing a system replacement project where IkaSystems’ Core Administration solutions will be used in place of SCAN’s core system, MC400. As part of this plan, there is a requirement to create a Master Data Service layer to provide merged data from both MC400 and ika Systems. The primary objective of the project is to create an Enterprise Data warehouse (EDW) and operational data store (ODS) architecture, Organization architecture and automation framework that will help Business people to strategize based on analysis of Data.

The project involves designing and implementing the ETL processes using SSIS which involves collection of data from sources like SQL Server 2008 R2/2012.

The project provides maintenance support for ETL systems.

The project provides reporting capabilities, subject-oriented subsets of data designed to meet the business requirements of specific reporting and analysis functions using SSRS and SSAS.
The project includes creation of SSAS cubes, Creation of reports from cubes and also the development of reports using SSRS 2008 R2/2012 and Report builder.

The project provides a reporting infrastructure, which includes a user-friendly interface.
The project provides an environment to identify, define and develop the common set of core reports required by customers and the management.

Responsibilities

• His role basically involves as a Tech lead along with Application development & Testing.
• He defines, plans, schedules, monitors, set milestones and coordinates the activities of the team, and reviews their deliverables.
• He works directly with functional analysts and business users in understanding the information needs of the business and developing new data warehouse/BI functionalities or tools to meet these requirements.
• Works closely with Business Analysts and performs all the needed Requirement Gathering / Design / Develop / Enhance / Test / Implement / Production Support Activities for the Project.
